To sponge or not to sponge? Introducing the Not.a.Sponge* Euphoric Skin Food Konjac Face Remedy

Not.a.sponge Euphoric Skin Food "In the Raw" Face Remedy *Pr Sample
As I mentioned before in some of my previous blog post, cleansing is one of my favourite stages of the whole skincare routine. (You've probably already guessed this from the blog name itself!) I love the feeling of taking care of my skin, in particular cleansing my face before going to bed, getting rid of make-up, dirt / pollution which my skin has to deal with everyday. It just makes me feel better and my skin fresher and cleaner.
Therefore, I was really excited to be sent this little fella to try. It's a super cleansing / exfoliating ssssss....ssssss...(shhh don't say the world sponge) ehm Face Remedy, there we go!

So, I can hear you asking "What's Not.a.Sponge* then"? Not.a.sponge* is a new 100% natural way of cleansing your skin! It's made of Konjac, a fibrous vegetable that grows in the island of Jeju in Korea. It's softer than your average sponge but has some amazing qualities for cleansing and exfoliating the skin simultaneously without damaging it like other artificial sponges can.

It's also rich in Vitamins like A, C, E, D, Folic Acid and Protein.

So how did I use my not.a.sponge* In the Raw

1) Well firstly as best suggested, I removed my make-up.
2) Then I soaked my Konjac not.a.sponge* under warm water until soft.
All excess water was squeezed out before using.
3) Next came the best bit: I gentle massaged my face neck in circular motions. This apparently helps to stimulate the blood flow and helps skin to re-oxygenate and get rid of the dry cells. The sponge is so soft it's a real pleasure to use.
4) Finally I rinsed the not.a.sponge* with warm water and let it dry for next time.

And the results? Well Ladies and Gentleman, they were truly impressive. My skin felt super soft and smooth straight after use. So clean and fresh that I couldn't believe it. The exfoliation itself is so delicate (the Konjac In the Raw can be used even under your eyes area) that you don't really fell like it's actually doing much while you are massaging it, but as soon as you stop you'll feel the great effects on your skin immediately!

There is more than one type of Not.a.sponge* to choose from and the price is really good value at $10.00 per piece. Considering the benefits this little softy can bring to your skin cleansing routine it's well worth it in my eyes.

Have you beauties tried this already? What's your cleansing routing at the moment?

Absolutely yes! It is quiet small to take with you and you can have cleansing and exfoliating at the same time which is great! Plus it's completely natural and good for your skin.

I usually cleanse my face firts, getting rid off the make up and then I cleanse again using the Konjac to exfoliate and make sure all the bad impurities are out from my skin.
Anyway it can be used also joined with a cleanser if you prefer.
      hope it helps!

  17. Oooh intriguing! I use a muslin cloth at the moment which is slightly exfoliating. This sounds like it would be more suitable for everyday use as it isn't as abrasive.
