Cooling down with Amie clay mask

Amie Spring Clean Cooling Clay mask.

Finally a warm day in London today, the 2nd of June, the sun is shining and the birds are tweeting, what bliss!

So today I thought it would be a perfect day to relax and get ready for a new start to the week with a cooling clay mask from Amie, to cleanse my face and get rid of toxins and skin impurities.

Amie is a very nice brand. Their products are mainly targeting towards a younger generation (with some exception here...less than 2 months till my 30st birthday..ouch!), and with many natural ingredients they focus on maintaining the perfect skin balance, not only helping with oiliness and breakouts but also with dryness and skin sensitivity.

I must say I really enjoyed this clay mask. This is the first time I've tried it and because I didn't want to buy the whole 75 ml tube (£4.95 on Amazon.uk), I got 2 little sachet (10 ml each x £1.50 ish ) which are perfect for one application and actually I was surprised to find out how much product there is inside each one.
The texture of this mask is very rich / thick and feels smooth on your face as soon as you start applying it. It's fresh and has a delicate scent of clay and peppermint that makes your skin feel regenerated straight away. The mask also draws out dirt and skin impurities and helps prevent blemishes keep your skin pores clear and clean.

It contains organic peppermint, french white clay and lime butter and over the 94% of the ingredients are natural, against animal testing, parabens free and suitable for vegetarians...and boyfriends (yes, my boyfriend tried this too).

The whole application takes less than a couple of minutes. After that you would need to allow the mask to dry for 10-15 minutes (at this stage I started to feel my skin tingling and pulling a little bit but nothing major). After 10 minutes, the mask can be taken off by splashing your face with warm water to rinse it off..well this process took me a bit longer because the mask is quite thick but afterwards you can pat your face dry with a towel and start enjoying the lovely nourishing feeling of your skin.
To make it a bit more clear for you guys, I decided to try something new for this blog post: a very short video showing me applying the clay mask so you can understand better the consistency of this product.

Let me know with a comment below what you think of the video, if you find any useful :)

  1. Nice video! You are looking cute and happy and relaxed :D

I like clay masks, they are really good at drawing out impurities from the skin. The claymask that I've currently been using is a french one that is soooo good, but kind of expensive. It's by Oliv' -- it's really really good! (http://www.ziba-blog.com/2013/04/18/oliv-radiance-face-mask-smooth-day-face-care-moisturizer/)

I also like paper masks, which are good for infusing the skin with different types of treatments. Have you tried any good paper masks?
